Media on Twitter

Are you a PR person and using Twitter to reach out to press contacts? Or, plan on using Twitter and finding press contacts sounds like something you are up to the challenge of finding? Well thanks to Brian Solis and Stowe Boyd there is a resource with this information.

The site is called MicroPR and looks as though there will be great value in participating. The site provides tips for pitching via Twitter and other useful information if you are familiarizing yourself with this new PR tool. One thing I would add is make sure you have a plan of attack using your Twitter account for pitching purposes and using it as a press contact point.

Twittering for PR

I have just returned home from the PRSA conference Digital Impact (more to come later) and have found a new addiction, Twitter. I have been following the community for a few months now and made the leap over the weekend. It was amazing how fast your community can grow and how fast the conversation happens. The thing that amazed me the most was how relevant the conversation is. Based on my community of PR folks, the conversation is broad, the answers come quick, and the reach is endless.
